Forster Way, Swords, Co. Dublin The Whelan Corcoran Smith design of Forster Way will create a new street parallel to Main Street, Swords linking the County Hall to the Penney’s and Pavilions Shopping Centre development. The original idea for this is the brainchild of Fingal County Council who realised the economic necessity of such a street with links to Main Street following the introduction of the large retail centre at Penney’s and the Pavilions. This will ensure the continued vibrancy and success of Main Street. It will also provide much needed car parking facilities with a 320 space multi-storey car park as well as retail outlets, restaurants, offices and apartments. Key to the scheme will be the provision of a new Senior Citizens Centre with their own open space, right in the heart of Swords.
