Capuchin Day Centre for the Homeless, Bow Street, Dublin 7 In 1994 Whelan Corcoran Smith and their design team completed the construction of a new Day Centre for the homeless for Br. Kevin Crowley of the Capuchin’s in Bow Street, Dublin 7. The new centre provided dining and education facilities for the homeless and administration and catering facilities for the staff. Subsequently in 2005 Whelan Corcoran Smith and their design team completed an extension to the Day Centre. The new facility provided for an extended Dining Room incorporating an area for young children and families which provides a safer and more dignified facility, an extended commercial kitchen to cater for the increase in capacity, increased staff accommodation and car parking. The facility also included a multi-purpose room which is used for clinics for visiting health professionals and information officers. The Day Centre was officially opened by An Taoiseach, Mr. Bertie Ahearn on 3rd October 2005
